SWIFT CURRENT, SK – We received a generous donation of $26,800 from Plewis Automotive Group after their #BetterTogether campaign — committing $100 for every new or used vehicle sold at all PAG dealerships. The Southwest Facility Foundation has now raised over $4.76 million in the past 2 years. Funds raised will go towards supporting recreation facility construction projects approved by the City of Swift Current. The Foundation continues to work with the City and to engage with the community and stakeholders regarding the importance and benefit of getting these projects underway.

“We’re proud to support the Southwest Facility Foundation’s vision for new recreation spaces in Swift Current. Our team and customers made this $26,800 donation possible, and we’re grateful to be part of a community that comes together to make great things happen.” - Plewis Automotive Group

Along with fundraising, part of the Foundation’s mission is to share and educate the community about the need, importance, and benefits of new recreation facilities in Swift Current. New facilities provide much-needed space for residents of all ages to gather and participate in a variety of recreational activities, fostering a healthy and active community. Recreation facilities are proven to provide significant boosts to tourism, economic activity, and future growth.

“Thank you to Plewis Automotive Group, and all their customers for contributing to this generous donation. We appreciate creative campaigns such as this one and all the support the community continues to show for these important projects.”
- Darcy Congdon, SWFF Board of Directors

The City of Swift Current continues to leverage and lobby all levels of government for their support and funding assistance for recreation facility projects. If you have questions regarding the City’s initiatives and progress, reach out to a City Councillor or contact City Hall.
